If you purchased one of our web hosting accounts through a third party store or service, and are having trouble redeeming your account, here's an easy step by step guide that should help!
Note: this guide applies to our lifetime hosting offers, as well as any and all third party purchases through StackSocial or StackCommerce.
Step 1. Make sure that Jester’s Plan is selected, and enter your desired domain name options. - There are three options here.
- Register a new domain
- Transfer your domain from another registrar
- I will use my existing domain and update my nameservers.
Use option 1 if you do not already have a domain, and would like to register a new one at our current rates. Use option 2 if you already have a domain, and would like to transfer it over to DoRoyal, making us your new registrar (and thus the company you pay when renewing it). Use option 3 if you already have a domain and do not wish to transfer it over to DoRoyal. You will simply update your name servers to the ones that DoRoyal assigns to your account.
1 and 2 have additional yearly costs. 3 is free.
For this tutorial / example, I’ve selected the third option.
Step 2. This is where you select the billing term, as well as any addons that you’d like to purchase separately. All addons are optional, and two free ones are included as well. If you do not want any of our premium addons, simply click Continue.
Step 3. Review & Checkout. This is the final ordering process, and is where you can review that all of the data you’ve entered thus far is accurate. The top of the page looks like this.
The box to redeem the code is at the bottom of the page.
Simply enter the redemption code into the box, and hit Validate Code. This will reduce your price from $6.95 / month down to $0.00, assuming no addons were selected during the second step.
