CodeGuard is an off-site website backup service that takes automatic snapshots of your site and lets you restore them in a few clicks.
Activating CodeGuard
- Order CodeGuard from our store.
- After activation, log in to the Client Area and open Services > My Services, then select your CodeGuard service.
- The service page contains your CodeGuard login link or credentials, and the same information is sent by email.
- Log in to CodeGuard, add your website, and choose the backup frequency your plan allows.
What CodeGuard does once active
- Automatic backups of your site's files and, depending on plan, your database.
- Change monitoring with email alerts when files change.
- One-click restore to any saved snapshot, either individual files or the whole site.
Tips
- Add your database as a separate backup source so content changes are covered too.
- Keep several restore points before major updates to themes or plugins.
