Welcome to DoRoyal! This guide walks you through the first steps after your shared hosting account is provisioned.
1. Find your welcome email
When your account was activated we emailed you a welcome message containing your control panel address, your username, and your password. If you cannot find it, log in to the Client Area, open Services > My Services, and select your hosting plan to see the same details.
2. Log in to DirectAdmin
Open the control panel address from the welcome email and sign in with your username and password. DirectAdmin is where you manage everything: files, domains, email, databases and more.
3. Add your website
- Register or point a domain: add your domain in DirectAdmin, then set your domain's nameservers to ns7.doroyal.com and ns8.doroyal.com. See What are the default name servers? if you are unsure.
- Upload your files: use the built-in File Manager, or connect over FTP with a client such as FileZilla (see our FileZilla guides).
- Install an app: WordPress, forums and hundreds of other applications install in a couple of clicks through Softaculous. See How to Install WordPress to get started.
4. Create your email accounts
In DirectAdmin, open the email section and create mailboxes for your domain. You can read them through webmail or in an app such as Outlook, Thunderbird, or your phone's mail client; our Email category has step-by-step guides for each.
5. Tweak your PHP if needed
PHP 8.3 is the default. If your application needs a different version, see Change Default PHP Version for the one-click switch.
