All DoRoyal VPS plans are unmanaged. This article explains what that means and what our support team can help you with.
What "Unmanaged" Means
With an unmanaged VPS, we provide the virtual server, network, and the infrastructure it runs on. Everything inside the server is yours to control - and yours to maintain. You have full root access and complete freedom over your operating system, software, and configuration.
You are responsible for:
- Operating system administration and configuration
- Software installation and updates
- Security hardening (firewall, SSH configuration, patching)
- Backups of your data
- Troubleshooting applications and services running on the server
What Our Support Covers
Our team is available for:
- Physical hardware and network related issues - if the host node, disks, or network connectivity to your VPS is faulty, we will fix it.
- Billing and account questions - invoices, payments, upgrades, renewals, and account access.
Before Opening a Ticket
If your VPS seems unreachable, please check the following first - it speeds up resolution significantly:
- Check status.doroyal.com for known incidents.
- Log in to the King Panel and confirm the VPS is powered on.
- Open the VNC console. If the server responds in the console but not over SSH, the issue is almost always a firewall or SSH configuration inside your server (your responsibility - though our knowledgebase can help!).
- If the console is unresponsive or the panel reports an error, that points to our side; open a ticket and include what you observed.
