Does DoRoyal handle website transfers? Print

  • 29

If you are currently with a provider that uses cPanel as their main web control panel, we will be able to transfer your existing website free of charge to one of our cPanel servers. Just be aware that we provide no guarantees of a successful transfer.

cPanel to cPanel Transfer

cPanel provides automated migration tools that we can use to easily migrate your website from one provider to another. To do this, simply generate a full backup of your cPanel account, and provide us with the file. You will need to have a DoRoyal account before we can restore your backup on our server, so you'll need to place an order with us before we can proceed.

If you don't know how to generate a full account backup, you should be able to find relevant information from your current hosts knowledgebase. Some providers offer custom cPanel interfaces and modules, so the process may be different for each host.

We also provide no guarantees of a successful migration. If your current provider uses a mostly unmodified version of cPanel, the migration is more likely to be successful. However, some of the larger providers use custom modules and features that aren't industry standard, and are exclusive to them. While this typically won't prevent us from migrating your account, it may cause certain errors with how your website behaves and operates. We highly recommend everyone manually verify that everything is working normally. DoRoyal takes no responsibility for any lost or damaged files that may occur in a migration.

Other to cPanel Transfer

Due to the lack of available tools, we only provide cPanel to cPanel migration services. If your current web host is using something other than cPanel, you will need to manually move your website files and folders over to DoRoyal.

We do not provide migration services between cPanel and DirectAdmin.
