We are aware of and are actively trying to resolve an outage affecting our Domain Name System. 

If your website is offline, you should be able to bring it back online yourself by simply switching over to a third party DNS manager, such as Cloudflare. Rest assured, your website itself is still functioning fine, but the DNS is simply unable to direct traffic to it. Changing your DNS / name servers is the easiest way to resolve this. 

We have a team working around the clock to get everything back online as soon as possible.

We're currently experiencing a mid-level DDOS attack on our Royal 2 server.

Due to a bug with our backup software, the remaining 5% of user accounts are so-far unable to be restored using our automated systems. As a result, we will be manually restoring each and every single account by hand. While we expect for this process to be finalized within the next 48 hours, we can't offer an exact ETA at this time.

We're getting reports of email deliverability issues affecting our storefront. Our store is being hosted on HostGator's reseller network, and they appear to be having issues on their end. 

Our actual hosting network is stable. This just affects our portal's ability to send emails out.

Update: We're reopening this issue, as the problem appears to be occurring again. Now, emails appear to be running at a delay of around two hours. 

Unfortunately, this means our support services are likely going to be affected by this as well, since we rely on email notifications to let us know when a new ticket has been made or responded to. So if we reply a bit slower than usual, this is likely the reason why.

Update 2:  The migration has been completed successfully. We are still looking over some settings, and searching for bugs or other unwanted errors. If you notice anything out of place, feel free to reach out. 

 

We are presently working on migrating all accounts and data from our Royal server to our new Royal1 server. 

Update 1: Please be aware that, at times, our old Royal server may occasionally become unstable due to the high load caused by the migration. This is normal, and expected. 
If you notice errors logging into your cPanel account, accessing your website, or using your email? Feel free to report them to us, though odds are, these errors will be fixed automatically with just a little bit of extra time. 

If you don't want to wait, you can also opt to start using our new Royal1 server before the migration has fully completed. Simply change your name servers to ns7.doroyal.com and ns8.doroyal.com and your domain will point to the new server. Just be aware that not all data has been transferred over, and certain functions may not work as expected. Things may also be missing, or incomplete. 

We recommend waiting for the transfer to finish successfully. When that happens, we will "flip the switch" and automatically move all domains over to the new server.

We were able to fix this particular problem. However, our plans outlined below are still in effect. We're swapping servers within the next few days.

This is rather unusual for us to admit, but we cannot fix this particular issue. Not in a timely manner, at least. It's still something that we are investigating, and unfortunately, our investigation could take quite a while. 

However, time is not something that we can afford, especially since this is now affecting more and more of our client base. It used to be about 2% of all of our users, but now it's around 27%. This indicates that a much, much larger problem is occurring. And to be quite frank, we do not know how to fix or mitigate this. 

The main solution that we've come up with, was to effectively upgrade our web hosting infrastructure today, rather than later this year. So, we're basically provisioning a new server, and will be migrating all of our active user accounts over to this new server. This new server will be faster, offer more store, more RAM, and in general, is an upgrade in every single way. So all of our current clients should receive a rather significant speed boost after this upgrade takes place. 

We will be writing a blog post shortly, and will also be sending out an email to everyone that is presently hosting with us, informing them of the change.

ORIGINAL REPORT

We are currently investigating an issue related to AutoSSL. This issue is only affecting a handful of our users, and seems to only be for those on our Eternal Kingdom plan.

Symptoms: AutoSSL is failing to generate a certificate, which in turn is causing websites to display one of our default under construction pages. 

We're unsure as to what is causing this, though some common similarities include; 

WordPress installation via Softaculous. 
Most sites are using a DNS A Record to point to our server. 
Primarily affects Eternal Kingdom users, though a few Jester's Plan users are experiencing the same issue.

We are currently experiencing a service disruption on both our main website (doroyal.com) as well as our portal (portal.doroyal.com) 

DoRoyal started out as a HostGator Reseller back in 2012, and while we've since transitioned to providing our own services via a datacenter out in Kansas City, our storefront has remained on the HostGator network ever since. We did this to ensure that, should our network ever go down, our storefront and client portals would remain accessible. Unfortunately, this decision was a double-edged sword. 

Thankfully, the DoRoyal network itself remains online and stable, so none of our customers are actually being affected by this outage. However, and at least until HostGator fixes the problem on their end, we are going to have limited support services until things stabilize.

Our datacenter is reporting an infrastructure failure with their backup power units. Unfortunately, due to the severity of this failure, we will need to take our servers offline for a short period of time on the morning of Wednesday, September 27th.

The total downtime is expected to last for 3-4 hours, at which time most of the websites on our network will become inaccessible. This is a full system outage, with only our storefront remaining online and accessible.

Hello there, fellow kingdom lovers!

The much requested PHP version changer will go live on February 22nd, 2014 at around 6:00 AM ET. This will affect all of our web servers. We expect a short network downtime as our servers are restarted, and certain PHP features may not function properly while this upgrade is taking place.

Once the update goes live, you will be able to change your active PHP version from within cPanel. The available versions will include; 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5.  (default will remain at 5.3)

After this upgrade has finished, please be sure to check your PHP scripts for any incompatibilities.

DeRoyalServers was hit by a minor Denial of Service attack yesterday morning, which progressed as the day went on.
This attack caused our main web hosting server to slow to a near halt.

The attacking IP address has been permanently blocked from accessing our network, and everything is now functioning properly.
